aubrey & tim

Aubrey and I exchanged several emails over the course of the week last week, speculating on the weather.  It was looking dismal there for awhile.  BUT the sun came out and the air was warm and slightly breezing, making a splendid afternoon for an outdoor wedding!  PHEW!
The wedding was small, simple, intimate & BEAUTIFUL, as Tim & Aubrey were surrounded by their nearest and dearest.  The love was positively palpable.

i do not fancy myself to be a wedding photographer, but i do take on a few weddings a year if they come from special referrals and seem like we will be a good fit.   when Aubrey called me and told me that one of my very favorite clients had referred her, we chatted for a bit, she told me about her wedding & her family, and i KNEW that this was a wedding that I must photograph!  A & T, thank you for choosing me!!!  The wedding is coming up this weekend --- everyone please send good thoughts that the Portland weather stays nice and dry and lovely for their special day on sunday!!!  We had some fun a couple of weeks ago doing a family session rather than an engagement session and had a great time getting to know eachother...

its been a long time coming, and i cannot tell you how HAPPY, ECSTATIC, JOYFUL we are to get some SUNSHINE!!!!

happy birthday, rob!

tomorrow is my dear man's birthday, and we decided to celebrate tonight withe the kids.  we had our favorite Hot Lips pizza and cupcakes from Saint Cupcake. YUMMMMMMY!  We also gave him his gift... a super cool flip video.

a grateful dinner with a lovely SUPERHERO!

one of my adventures while in the bay area earlier this month took erica and i to a lovely dinner at Cafe Gratitude in Berkeley with THE SUPERHERO HERSELF, Andrea Sher.  Andrea and I have tried to get together a few times in the past when we've been in the same area, but it had never panned out... so we made a point of it this time.  And I can tell you first hand that she is as every bit lovely, darling, warm, open-hearted, and wonderful as she seems through her photos and writings on her blog.  I look verymuch forward to our next meeting.
