holiday card offerings.

Holiday10

The time is upon us!  The time to start the holiday scramble!!!  WAHOOOO!!!!!

I have some really beautiful holiday card designs to offer this year!  They are all customizable with different colors, fonts, verbage, and of course the photos. :o)  They are availble in 5x7 flat or folded cards in standard glossy card stock or fine art watercolor paper... and the most economical option: the 5x7 photographic print.  All come with nice quality white envelopes.

You can see many examples on my website in the 'more portfolio' section.  Please contact me {shesawthings@gmail.com} for details or with questions.

It's something!

Its been hard for me to keep up with ANYTHING lately, and the blog has been one of the things I've let go.  I've had some time at the computer today, and I found this list on Tonya's blog and so I swiped it.

One thing I’d grab if my house were on fire: My family photos
One thing I wish I could throw away: A giant pile of crap that has been following me around for years.  I'm a collector.
One thing I’ll never, ever throw away: My Camera
Something I lost and still miss: My Mom
Something I’ve kept since childhood: My security blanket :o)
A food item I never run out of: Coffee
A household brand I’m very loyal to: Hmmmmmm, nothing that I can think of.  Trader Joe's???  Does that count???
Something I sleep with every night: My family.  Zoe keeps me warm on the cold nights.
One thing that’s on my wish list: A clean house
Something I take with me wherever I go: My wallet
Something that makes me smile when I see it: Cool photos
Something my children fight over: the tv
Something I hate to clean: Everything, windows the most though
Something I show off when people visit: New stuff on my walls
Something I hide when people visit: My office
Something I’m embarrassed to admit I like: Extreme Home makeover
Something I collect: Vintage Cameras
Something I avoid at all costs: Public Speaking
Something that reminds me of my mother: Whistling
The best gift I’ve ever received: It sounds cheesy, but my husband is truly the greatest gift I've ever gotten.  I met him right after my mom died, and I feel like he was really put into my life as a gift.

  • Working with Jen was a total pleasure. She was relaxed, fun, and very flexible. I started the session feeling self-pressure to have the children dressed just right, the setting perfect, and everyone on their best behavior. Of course, the best laid plans were not to be - yet, Jen still captured the BEST pictures of my family I have ever seen. I highly recommend Jen Downer! ---Holly B
  • Jen was great!! We spent an enjoyable afternoon with her, and it never felt like a photo shoot. We were all at ease and she captured us as we are. Our photos are beautiful and truly portray our family. ---Becky
  • Jen and I went to art school together. I was in awe: her images had warmth, happiness and playfulness. Also a bit of nostalgia...the good kind, when memories are brought back with a little smile. She took a great detour after graduation by falling in love and starting a family. She already saw the good things about people, but now it's enhanced by having her own little people to nurture. She's the perfect person to document the special moments of every day life. ---Suzi
